The Embassy of Ghana in Moscow is pleased to announce the successful participation of Ghana in the 2026 Kazan Islamic Forum, held in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan, from 13th to 16th May, 2026.

H.E. Ambassador Dr. Koma Steem Jehu-Appiah accompanied by the Head of Chancery, Abiel  Armah, PhD represented Ghana at the Forum, which brought together leaders, investors, and cultural figures from Russia and the Islamic world to promote dialogue, trade, and cooperation.

On 14th May, Ambassador Jehu-Appiah spoke at a high-level round table on Ghana-Russia relations. He highlighted Ghana’s stable democracy, growing economy, and investment opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, renewable energy, education, and healthcare. The Ambassador invited Russian businesses to partner with Ghanaian firms and take advantage of the country’s strategic location and skilled workforce.

Later that day, the Ambassador addressed a conference on Russia-Africa cultural relations. He called for deeper collaboration in education, arts, and cultural exchange to strengthen mutual understanding between the peoples of Africa and Russia. He noted that such ties are essential for building lasting partnerships beyond commerce.

On the sidelines of the Forum, the Ghana’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation held several B2B meetings with Russian companies interested in agro-processing, cultural exchanges and real estates. These discussions laid the groundwork for future business partnerships and investment flows between Ghana and Russia.

Ghana’s participation reaffirms the Government’s commitment to expanding economic diplomacy and building bridges with partners across the Eurasian and Islamic worlds. The Embassy will continue to work with stakeholders in both countries to translate these engagements into tangible outcomes for Ghanaian businesses and citizens.
