H.E. AMBSSADOR DR. KOMA STEEM JEHU-APPIAH

His Excellency, Dr. Koma Steem Jehu-Appiah is an accomplished medical practitioner and a dedicated public health specialist with over 35 years of distinguished career both in Ghana and outside the shores of Ghana. 

Dr. Jehu-Appiah is married to Dr. Mrs. Caroline Jehu-Appiah and are blessed with Four (4) children

Dr. Jehu-Appiah’s accomplishments and leadership acumen has projected him to head key management positions including:

-Country Director, IPAS Ghana (Sexual Reproductive Health NGO) 

– Associate Professor, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine

– Health Policy Advisor, Royal Netherlands Embassy, Accra 

– Medical Director, Rabito Dermatology Clinic (Overseeing clinical operations, policy implementation, and quality assurance within the nineteen (19) clinics spread throughout the country).

– Senior Medical Doctor – Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital 

– Founder & President, MedRelief (Medical Emergency Relief Service).

– Medical Practitioner with over 35 years of active public service

Furthermore, President John Dramani Mahama’s representative to the Russian Federation has held various leadership roles within the ruling NDC government such as: 

– Secretary-General, NDC Professionals Forum

– Manifesto communicator on health 

– Co- Founder & Vice-President, AYA Collective (An NGO focused on health and wellness)

During the period of his tenure as Ghana’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation, Dr. Jehu-Appiah will be concurrently accredited to Belarus, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Kazakhstan and Armenia.

Ambassador Dr. Jehu-Appiah is expected to strengthen bilateral relations between Ghana and Russia and by extension countries of concurrent accreditation in areas such as health, renewable energy which are anchored on President John Dramani Mahama’s special initiatives such as the 24-Hour Economy and the Big Push Agenda.
