His Excellency, Dr. Koma Steem Jehu- Appiah held his maiden meeting with members of staff of the Mission on Monday 6th October, 2025.
The meeting which had in attendance, Her Excellency Dr. Mrs. Caroline Jehu-Appiah afforded the Ambassador the opportunity to share the vision of His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama with members of staff.
During the meeting the Ambassador outlined his mission for strengthening bilateral relations, promoting economic cooperation, and enhancing mutual understanding between Ghana and Russia.
To this end, the Head of Mission clearly articulated his compelling objective for elevating, to an appreciable level, the trajectory of bilateral relations between Ghana and host country which has in the past revolved around political relations and mutual respect.
The incoming Ambassador further noted that his tasks includes working in concert with the Russian investors to anchor President Mahama’s Special Initiative on Industrialization to energy security under the Big Push Agenda and by extension the smooth implementation of the 24- hour economy.
Touching on the Foreign Affairs Minister’s KPIs which are specific to Russia, the Ambassador opined that the KPIs are SMART and bespoke germane to harnessing the full economic potentials of Ghana-Russia relations. He therefore urged members of staff to cooperate exceedingly well to enable the Mission realize the President’s vision and also unlock new opportunities for cooperation and the collective good of Ghana and Russia. In conclusion, Ambassador Jehu-Appiah highlighted his desire to promote cultural understanding and people-to-people connections, recognizing the role of education, arts, and tourism in fostering lasting relations between Ghana and host country.
