H.E. Dr. Koma Steem Jehu-Appiah, Ambassador of Ghana to Russia, paid a courtesy call on Professor Oleg Yastrebov, Rector of RUDN University, in Moscow on 3rd February, 2026. He was accompanied by Mr. Herbert Addy-Nettey, Minister-Counsellor/Political and Economic and Mr. Abiel Armah, PhD, Minister- Counsellor/ Head of Chancery.
The visit marked a nostalgic return for Ambassador Dr. Koma Steem Jehu-Appiah to his Alma Mater. Ambassador was a student at RUDN from 1980 to 1989 where he studied medicine along with his spouse Dr. Mrs. Caroline Jehu-Appiah.
During the meeting, Ambassador Dr. Koma Steem Jehu-Appiah expressed his gratitude to the University for the education and training he received, which has contributed significantly to his career.
The Head of Ghana’s Diplomatic Mission in Moscow highlighted the strong bond between Ghana and Russia, emphasizing the importance of academic cooperation between the two countries.
The Rector of RUDN University, Prof. Oleg Yastrebov welcomed Ambassador Dr. Koma Steem Jehu-Appiah and reaffirmed RUDN’s commitment to strengthening ties with Ghanaian institutions, fostering academic exchange, and promoting mutual understanding.
